Cruise Control not working on 97 Civic EX

The car has been hit in the front end, the bags blew and the light
(SRS) is on...question 1) will the cruise work with this on?
The light for cruise in the dash comes on like it is working but won't
hold set speed.
2) if it was an adjustment off with the clutch or brake, would the
light come on and stay on as though it was working?
It holds vacuum at the controller and is getting vacuum from the
engine. About 22 on the vacuum gauge.
3) any ideas about testing, therory on possibilities?

Thanks,

Jam
