Hello,

I would like an estimate of what it may cost to replace the clutch on
my 2000 Impreza. I have done multiple searches and found the price
range for this service on no specific car, and for the Impreza
specifically, I have found the price of do-it-yourself clutch kits.

If anyone has had this replacement already, or can guesstimate, please
let me know what I might expect to spend. i.e. Am I going to need to
open a new credit card for this? Sad

Thanks!
Emily

Just guessing around $200 for parts and 3 hours to install. So if someone
charges you $800 that equates to $200/hour for labor/profit. Best to
check around at several places to get a feel for what it will cost.

I was quoted exactly that, $800, for a clutch replacement on a 2000
Impreza here north of NYC.

Yep,
For certain job, dealer price is best.
