Post subject: Connector underneath Power steering pump 2000 Alero 3.4L V6

Hi,

I was helping a friend replace the head gasket on a 2000 alero 3.4L v6, when we discovered a 3 wire (red, green, and black) male connector underneath the power steering pump, attached to the block. Can any tell me where the female end can be found? Help! Thx

I'm wondering if this connector is for the electronic variable effort
steering option, and the vehicle is not equipped with it, but the wiring is
there.
