Post subject: Comments on Mitsubishi Outlander? Get Alert
Archived from groups: rec>autos>4x4 (more info?)

Hi All,

I am on a used (somewhat crossover) SUV hunt. I
mainly will be using my new used SUV for business
travel (3 to 4 customers a day) and coping with
to 2 to 8" of winter snow. But, there are also
a couple of unimproved dirt road with fishing holes
at their end that I have an eye on (the hatchery
trucks will attempts these roads once a year or so).

Anyway, I also what it high reliability and long
lived, but can not afford Honda or Toyota's high
resale values.

So, looking at reviews, the Mitsubishi seems
to get rave reviews, except on the Mitsubishi news
group where is gets a few choice four letter words
applied.

Anyone have comments on the Outlander? Is it
reliable? How does it do on dirt roads? How about
snowy and ice (smooth) roads?

I also looked at Subaru reviews and squeaking and
rattling get mentioned a lot. Not too happy with the
quality either.

Any other suggestions?

Many thanks,
-T

Just looked at Consumer Reports used car guide. The
Outlander has reliability problems, especially the cooling
system. So ...
