Hello folks, I have an '85 GTI with an '87 16v engine that won't start. It sat for a year or more and had the old gas pumped through the system, although now I've drained it and replaced it with clean gas + fuel system cleaner. I was able to drive the car 6 miles today with the cold start valve wire dissconected and the OVP relay installed. However when I got home and let left the car for about 2 hours; I went out to start it up and the car bogged down on me and cut out a half mile away. I dissconected the OCP and it st..

What do I need to remove to get to the cold start valve on a 1969 280SEL? Where is the cold start valve located?
« The cold start valve is at the end of the intake plenum. There is a 7?mm headed screw on the middle of it. If you remove it and crank the engine when it is cold, you shoul see gas come out the screw.. »
