Post subject: Cold Start 535i

Whenever my engine is on idle it starts to rev up and down and the car
shakes from the revving. The engine light comes on and I can smell rich
odor from the exhaust. Please help me on advise. Thanks.

Vacuum leak or sticking idle control valve.
