« Thanks Ray O, will try it out. toyo999 »
« I wonder if Ray's suggestion that the ignition key be ON, when you try to test the socket isn't the answer to this problem.......as I recall, it has to be on to activate the lighter. If it's $1.. »

Hi, Where is the cigarette lighter fuse on celica GT-S 2001? I did not see any label from the main fuse box next to the battery. Thank you, Havfun
« It'll be listed in the manual. »
« Look in the fuse box under the driver's side of the dashboard. -- Ray O (correct punctuation to reply) »

Hi again. I was searching through the group archives and came upon a few threads about a blown cigarette lighter. I do not smoke cigarettes but would like to use this outlet for things such as a cell phone charger or other miscellaneous goods. The threads that I read pointed to a website that deta..
« The lighter fusible link is on the back of the lighter socket. -- Ray O (correct punctuation to reply) »
« Is it a fuse that I can simply disconnect and plug in a new one or will I have to unsolder it and re-solder one? »
« A fusible link is a short section of wire with a smaller diameter than the rest of the circuit. I think it is two gauges smaller. 16 gauge in a 14 gauge circuit. Ron »
« You will probably have to unsolder and re-solder the fusible link. The easiest way would be to replace the entire socket with one from a junk yard. -- Ray O (correct punctuation to reply) »

The cigarette lighter in my Subaru is no longer working which is a pain as I can't plug in phone charger etc Could it just be a fuse problem? I looked at the fuse box under the hood but could not tell which one was for the cigarette lighter. Any suggestions? And if it is not a fuse problem what e..

Hey, all, I was working on my girlfriend's 1991 Accord and the cigarette lighter wasn't working. I tried the fuses but none were labeled as cig lighter in any fashion, under the hood or under the dash. I did a search on the groups but got nowhere, as did my attempts to search Autozone's informat..

The cigarette lighter socket is loose so any movement will cause the MFC to stop working because the 15amp fuse blows. So I'm assuming the cigarette lighter and MFC are on the same fuse. How can I remove the cigarette lighter socket or tighten it so it stops causing the fuse to blow? Thanks Mike
« i'm assuming you have a sebring coupe if you do, than pop up the bezal around the shifter and that will allow access to the liter case and it just tightens up this is a common issue on the coupes »
« Not sure if it's a coupe, but it's a LX. It belongs to a buddy. How do I pop up the bezel? Mike »
