I have to change the battery cable clamp of my 99 Camry, but I stupidly closed the hood with the battery cable off and I'm not able to get into the car. Is there a emergency hood release for this model? If not, the only thing I can think of is to take a pry bar to the rear seats through the tr..

« It seems the 99 Camry keys operate a solenoid to the locks and there's no mechanical connection at all. I'll try it again as I really wish I'm wrong about this. »
« I guess my question should have been "is there an emergency hood release on this car?" The info might be in the manual but that's in the car.

My remote key had stopped working properly and I thought I had to change the battery. After I put in the new one, it completely stopped working. Hey I have 96 Camry it is my first car, ( I love it) I need to change the battery and the manual say if you keep the battery disconnected for to long you need to get the airbags reset. How long is to long??? anyone know??

Has anyone been able to do this? I need to change the battery on my 2003 Accord and I'd prefer not to lose all the addresses I've entered in the Navigation system. Perhaps I can connect another battery through the power port in the console to maintain power to the system? Thanks for any advice!

Hi All, Just wondering if I really need to take my 98 GTI into the dealership to change the battery, as it recommends. The user manual mentions that the computer needs to be reset?! Any help would be appreciated, George
