That sounds right. Pay $2k for a lens and right away send it in for
service so it works properly!
Skip's new 5D might benefit from that process too. Apparently he wasn't
leaning to one side at all when he did his first shoot!
My last 20D focused 20mm past the point of focus at 400mm right out of
the box. My previously stellar 70-200 f2.8 had to be serviced before I
could change it on the 20D without killing the camera... You've done
well there Spirit, saved the best till last
