Since the day I had a front half-shaft rebuilt on my 2001 A6 2.7T, the oddest thing is happening. The interior dome light 10A mini-fuse keeps blowing. With the power windows, locks, lights, dimming mirrors, etc. on the same circuit, it's a bit of a hassle.
After checking all the interior stuff, I've removed the dome light bulbs to save $ on fuses. The battery is putting out a steady 12vDC, but the dome light fixture reads at 13.46vDC. I heard the ABS speed sensor sends it's signal through the interior dome circuit, to the instrument panel.
My novice impression is a dead short. Is it possible the shop created a short at the ABS sensor when it was removed for the half-shaft rebuild? They don't seem to think so. Anyone seen this problem?
