I've been wanting to see the new Bond movie, just because I've seen all
of them and will always see all of them. That is the perfect reason, IMO.
But, snoozing through IMDB I caught this little bit of review, which I
loved (thank you to unnamed reviewer):
"They have borrowed some elements from the Bourne series of films which
is long overdue on the franchise, more realistic fight sequences and
with Daniel Craig actually looking like a physically capable man instead
of the middle aged paunch of Roger Moore and Pierce Brosnan who both
quite frankly couldn't beat up a Ritz cracker." >> Stay informed about: what? a Bond movie? |

S'truth.

A goodness, why?

Nonsense.
The fight in the stairwell, alone, was as cartoonish a sequence as
anything in Tom and Jerry: Clearly written, produced and performed by
people whose experience in brawling is limited to screaming at their
mums for not cutting the crusts off of their bacon butties.

'Out of work lifeguard'.

Unfair to tar Brosnan with that pastry brush.
>who both quite frankly couldn't beat up a Ritz cracker."
A pithy line, but horribly inaccurate; Bond was never so depressingly
about brawn over brain.

I totally agree. Just saw "Tomorrow Never Dies" a week ago, loved it
again, of course Michelle Yeoh is easy on the eyes as well (you go, Mr.
Todt). I actuallt like most of Pierce's "other" films, like The Thomas
Crown Affair, The Tailor of Panama, etc. Haven't seen The Matador. >> Stay informed about: what? a Bond movie? |

<TMI mode = on>
I impulse bought Die Another Day just to watch Halle Berry walk out of
the sea.

The original has the original 275 NART Spider in it.

Haven't heard of The Matador.
