I didn't think this event was still a goer, but it appears they are trying
their very best to bring it back up to its former glory years.

In the past it used to be a series of 3 races which has featured such top
names as Gary Densham and John Force.

This years event attracted Cory Mac and Mike Dunn

Usa Top Fuel Fury - Final Big Day Today!
Posted on www.andra.com.au

Those 8,000 horsepower Top Fuel beasts lived up to their reputation and
anticipation during qualifying yesterday with the quickest Top Fuel field in
Australian Drag Racing history.

Martin Stamatis top qualified with a 4.684 ahead of team mate Phil Read's
4.686.

American stars Mike Dunn and Cory McClenathan also slotted into the top half
of the field with their 4-second efforts.

The unlucky racer had to be Amanda Shepherd, who drove a superb pedal effort
in the 5.2 range, yet was not quick enough to qualify for race day today.

FINAL RESULTS:

Cory Mac lost to Philip Read in the semi finals.

Mike Dunn made it all the way through to the finals but was beaten by Aussie
Phillip Read who ran a 4.801 @ 279mph to Mike Dunns 9.682 @ 72mph.
