I am tired of the cruddy looking factory hubcaps and wheels that came with
the Yaris.

Whats the cheapest route to getting some standard alloy wheels? I don't need
anything fancy, but something affordable. Where should I go? Who should I
talk to? What should I be aware of? What are the rip off gimicks at tire
places? ETC!

I tend to like Les Schwab if you live near one of their stores. Just
Google them -- you'll see their different locations.

Where are you?

Around here, I go to Town Fair Tire. They have good wheel and tire
packages, and will usually meet prices from TireRack.com or 1010Tires.com.

Of course, this doesn't include mounting, balancing, stems, etc. Then
again, neither do the others...

Where should I go?
The tire store.

Who should I talk to?
The guy that works there.

What should I be aware of?
Backspacing or offset. These work out to be the same thing at the end of the
day, but are really different measurements. They specify how far the rims
are from the undercarriage components.

What are the rip off gimicks at tire

Make sure they don't have a Pain in the Ass surcharge. If they have a Cool
Dude Discount, try to get it.

They have good prices but the delivery cost just make it the same cost as if
you were to get them at a local shop...
