Airbag Light On

What does the airbag light on all the time indicate? I've checked fuses, but am not really familiar with air bag systems/electronics. Is this thing going to go off in my Mother-in-Laws face? Any way to reset it/things to check? Thanks

is there any way to reset the airbag light manually

« Not that I know of - but try checking the connections under the seats first as they can become dislodged or dirty, and cause the light to come on. Battery off preferably ! Graham »

I have 1995 Lexus 400, Airbag light came on instrument panel, anybody know what could be the problem? Thanks.

« Sounds like Chris is spot-on with this info. This is not a difficult repair, but if you do it yourself just make sure you unhook the battery negative cable for two minutes before you unhook the ai.. »

I am going to by an Audi A4 2001 model, l was told that the car was 100% ok, but then l was told that the Airbag light comes on once in a while. What should l do ?? Is this serious ?? Also the dealer does not have a full history report on the car, he has told me that the car has been serviced ..
