Air Conditioner Problem

Hi, The air conditioner has been switching on and off by itself, cool/hot, cool/hot. With the car running I hear something under the hood switching on and off. There is no pattern to the switching. A friend recommended that I get the freon checked. I had an "A/C Service" performed and approx. 3lbs..

my wife just bought a 1988 park ave. when you turn on the ac (climate control) you can hear a fan blowing but little air is coming out the vents. there was an instance when the air did blow out and ac worked fine.

Hi my 91 corolla hove some problems. When the engine is travelling at 2.5-3k rpm the air con is much cooler. However while idling at 1.2k the it is not cooling at all. I've measured using a pressure gauge manifold that while idling the pressure on the firewall after the eveporator is around 70 ps..
