Rule of thumb: if you have to ask, take it to a mechanic...

On the belt: should be a diagram on the radiator support or shroud, or
hood.

I would not be so bold, because you may not have first hand knowledge of a mechanical device, it does not mean you cannot fix it if you have the mechanical aptitude. I have learn a LOT in my younger years from doing it and still learn a trick or two today doing it. Never had a tansaxle and engine out of a tercel until last year but I have now working on my sons tercel. (had transaxle out twice too for a defective seal)

Can you do the work yourself? Yes. Does it make sense? First attempt
to diagnose the problem and then ask yourself the same question again.
