Did anyone manage to find a solution to the fault? I've got exactly the same problem with the ABS. I've had the bearing and sensors done and its still not sorted. Any clues would be much appreciated.

Hi George, I think Peugeot are ridiculous to be honest - I complained to head office again and haven't even had a reply! I see there is some other poor person that has the fault now too! Its very strange that there are so many with the same fault. Mine was finally sorted last week - they changed the Hub and the sensors and now its ok at last (it only took 3 months Wink. I asked him how hard it was to find - he said they put it straight on the test and found the problem! He gave me the diagnostic reports - so now I am going to write to the garage who did so many investigations and get my money back because they wasted my time and money! Let me know how you get on! I am thinking of selling - and never ever buying a Peugeot again!

All I can say is best of luck! I hope you get it sorted. If you're anywhere near Woking take it to Ian Allan Peugeot - they found the problem first time. This was after it had been to 2 different garages 4 times over the past 3 months!
Just out of interest, what model and plate is yours?

Hi, glad to hear you got things sorted out, i'm up in Nottingham and can't really trust my Peugeot to make it down to Woking. I'll try having the hub replaced and see if it works for mine, just had the gearbox replaced due to another fault so all in all i'm not a happy bunny. Its a 51 reg 307 Rapier. Thanks for the info and wish you success with getting some cash back. Doug

Its weird that its all happening to the 51 plates and 307's - maybe they're not meant to last longer than that ;-(
I spent just under £2000 on mine last year - new head gasket, cambelt,ABS sensor,ABS pump and 40 000 mile service. Now the other ABS problems they just don't seem to end.
If you get your hub done let us know if it works for you!
Good news - the other garage are faxing the diagnostic tests over so thats a start!

I took car out of garage as they said it was ECU unit and the cost was over 600 but they could not garentee the job, just ridiculas ,so if they cannot garentee it I am not having it done . It is just a pity that the garage I usually deal with dosent haVE pEUGOT COMPUTER or they would have sorted it I just know they would have the mechanic there is very good. The differance in garage prices is also ridiculas how some charge more than treble than others. I will never get a Peugot again due to the fact that Peugot themselves dont take any responsibuility for the cars they manafacture Regards <George>

AND I HAVE BEEN THR THE EARTHS AND THE BOARD AND CAN FIND NO PROBLEMS WITH IT. SO I TRYED A NEW ABS ECU AND THE PROBLEM WAS GONE IT SEEMS LIKE THE ABS ECU ON THE PEUGEOT 307 HAS A BAD FAULT THAT COULD BE DOWN TO SOFTWARE ERROR. THE ONLY CHEAP WAY THAT I CAN THINK OF IS JUST TO GET A NEW OR RECON ABS AS NO GARAGE THAT I KNOW OF CAN FIX THIS PROBLEM SO YOU WILL END UP WITH A BILL FOR NOTHING. I JUST HOPE THAT I COULD HAVE BEEN MORE HELP THX STEVE

Hi Will,
As I had so many problems with one of the garages I took my car too - I asked the garage that found the problem how hard it was to find. They said they put it straight on the test and found it! I have the diagnostic reports and it actually says REAR LH Sensor on the report. So as far as I know the test should tell them! Then again I am blonde so maybe I'm wrong....but thats what the paperwork says! Best of luck! PS I am on holiday in South Africa - I have a Corsa which is my holiday car! Best car I have ever bought!!! Have never had a single problem with it EVER!!! Charlene

No clues if you've already had the bearings and sensors done - I think the best thing may be to burn it! Wink
