A160 Poor Fuel Consumption PLEASE HELP

HI got a A160 (1999) and the fuel consumption is bad! On a full tank i only get about 220miles from it. I havnt owned it long and expected the fuel consumption to be good. It runs and drives fine.
Anyone got any ideas

Could be many things but get a ecu diagnosis done at your local BOSCH
agent (if in UK) or MB service centre and be prepared for a shock.
