Post subject: 99 Tiburon Transmission

Two months ago I was having transmission problems with my '99 Tiburon. The
transmission was sticking in 3rd gear or poping into 3rd gear. I brought
it the dealer and they replaced the transmission for me under warranty.
Now the same thing is happening again, but with extra twists. The
transmission shifts more harshly than it did before. Also in first gear,
sometime when I press the gas, the car just rev's and then pops into gear.
I dropped it off at the dealership again this morning and I havent heard
anything yet. Anyone have any ideas on what to expect?

I'm guessing they're going to replace your transmission again if they can't
find any leaks.

So the dealer called, they said it was a pressure valve that needs to be
replaced. Since this valve is outside of the transmission, it is not
covered by the warranty. Does this sound right to you Hyundai Tech? The
cost is $175.00.
