Recently I brought my car in for transmission problems. The dealer had
replaced the tranny 2 months ago and I was still having troubles with the
car sticking into gear. I brought it back last week and the replaced a
pressure valve that controlled the shifting. All of that is fine, however,
I turned on my air conditioning yesterday and it does not work. It is not
like the a/c turns on and it does not get cold, it doesnt turn on at all.
I know for a fact that it worked before I brought it in. Could the dealer
have done anything to the a/c when they repaired my transmission?

Thanks for your help!

the Air conditioner is the Compressor, lines, condenser, evaporator and the
BLOWER FAN that noves the air

The BLOWER FAN blows the outside air in, blows the inside air around, sends
it through the evaporatr coil or through the heater core.

are you having a BLOWER FAN problem?

I don't think they did anything. There's nothing they'd do in replacing
the transmission that would be anywhere near anything controlling your
a/c. Is the issue that the fan doesn't run or that the compressor won't
turn on?

The fan turns on and air comes out, but you can tell the compressor does
not. Usually when I press the a/c button, you can feel the car rumble a
little and you lose a little power. This is not happening. I had my a/c
serviced in August and everything has been working fine..no issues. Also,
I live in Southern California, so I use it frequently, but not
excessively.

If your a/c was serviced because it was low on refrigerant, then I suspect
it's leaked out again. If you're low on refrigerant, recharging usually
just perpetuates the problem until the leak is located and repaired.
