Anyone experienced their clutch pedal not returning all the way? It also
seem that the engage point is 1/2" off the floor. Resovior is full.

Thanks for any comments.

The clutch pedal in my 97 OBW did not return all the way if
the floor mat had moved forward. Was a recurring problem
over many years.

I had the same problem with my 2000 Legacy Brighton. It was diagnosed as a
failing clutch cylinder. They are made of plastic!!!!

A new cylinder solved the problem.

extra brake pedal travel on 05 Impreza Outback Sport - Hi, all. A part of a previous post we never really got to discussing... when I first got the car, brake pedal was quite tight and firm. K&N for Outback - I have a 97 Outback wagon automatic. Since I can't get a cold air intake for the car, I was wondering if anyone here has had any experience replacing just the air filter -- performance, mileage, etc. In other words, will it pay for itself over time....

'97 Outback oil consumption - My new/used Outback is going through a quart of oil about every 2000 miles. This sounds about normal to me. What say you? The engine has about 35k on it. Thanks. Sheldon sheldon@sopris.net

1997 Subaru Outback - Looking at getting this rig, however, there is a slight tick in the engine, particular when you rev it up. Is this something I should be concerned with? 160kms and timing belt changed.

New tires for an Outback? - It's time for new tires on my 2000 Outback, and I'm debating what to get. Right now I'm debating between either Goodyear Assurance TripleTred and BF Goodrich Traction T/A-H tires. Any useful comments are welcome, especially in areas regarding gas..
