The car has been shifting hard for a couple of days. Today the check engine light came on with error code 0700 (3000 rpm felt like first gear). Help 1997 Intrepid - my 1997 intrepid seems to be locked in 2nd gear. it will not shift at 35 mph.... the engine just revs. wife says that the engine light came on then went off.... came back on again. is this a trans axle problem,tranny,torque converter or diagnostic..
