Post subject: 99 Dakota shifting erratic

I have 99 Dakota V6 AT when the eng temp is cold the tran shifts from 1st to 2nd and then wont shift till RPM are above 3000 RPM and then again at about 2600 usuually if I let off the gas a bit. Noticed it shifts much better and at nuch lower RPM when engine temp is warmed up. Also if you do a slow acceleration it shifts in the 2200rpm range with engine cold. Any suggestions?? Truck has 70,000 miles
