Post subject: 98RAM Help with Fuse Block Issue

Hi,

I am pretty confident that I have isolated the source of my intermittent Check Engine and Brake Light illuminations on the instrument panel. Also my 98 Ram 5.2 would simply DIE coasting at low RPM. I found by retightening down the connector bolt that screws a big wiring harness into the engine compartment fuse block, those problems dissappear. Well, the bolt to tighten this connector does NOT tighten up tight but spins. Im thinking it may be stripped or designed this way. Anyway, this harness connector plug occasionally loosens up causing the symptoms described above (intermittent or poor connection I imagine) to return. So I have to tighten the bolt the best I can again and then the symptoms strangely dissappear. If you are familiar with this engine compartment fuse block harness fastener assembly and can recommend a permanent fix I would be grateful.

[/b]Thanks,Ken
