My dash lights and visor lights are out...the fuse is fine. Also, the car
locks up when the key is in the ignition. That's a real problem...been
locked out twice now. Didn't use to do that stuff. ???

You get out of the car leaving the key in the ignition? Why?

Intermittent problems like this many times end up being a bad ground. If you
can get your hands on a service manual (helminc.com) for it, trace the
grounds used by the door locks and dash lights. What you will probably find
is rust or corrosion at the point where the wires are screwed to the car
body.

For the dash lights, check also the tail light fuse. You might also try
replacing the battery in the door lock remote.
