I have a recurring problem which I have posted about before on my 98
Trooper, I am just wondering whether there is anyone new in the group who
has had similar problems.
The 4wd partially engages without any input from me. Usually when cold or
just starting off, the light on the dash flashes slowly it usually drops out
again when the vehicle stops and the gear (manual box) is put in neutral. I
am sure I am using the correct grade oil in the front diff for the
temperature. The solenoids appear to be working.
Does anyone have a any idea what it might be?
Does this model have automatic free wheel hubs? It doesn't look to me as
though it does but I would like to know for sure.
