Post subject: 98 CRV hatch opens itself? and door/hatch remote won't work
Yesterday when I went to start my 98 CRV I saw that the hatch window was popped open. I thought nothing of it and closed it. Then I noticed that my door remote wasn't working. We just thought that I popped the hatch open by accident and that maybe the battery in either the car or remote wasn't working. So my husband charged the car battery (which the charger said it was already fully charged), changed the batteries in the remotes and reprogrammed them using the instructions in the manual. The remotes still won't work and this morning the hatch was popped open again. Then temps yesterday morning and this morning were 10 BELOW zero. We don't know if maybe the cold is causing some sort of electrical problem, but it's a problem we want to fix. Anyone have any idea why this is happening and/or how we can fix it? Could it just be a faulty remote system? Thanks.
