When it dies.....does it act like it's starving for gas, or does it "just
die"?
When you first start it up, does it seem to run normal?
A fuel pump on my 98 Jeep GC gave me problems like yours, except I usually
got 50 to 100 miles out of town before the Jeep starved for gas....and died.
A 5 minute rest allowed me to drive a few dozen miles at a lower speed
before exhibiting symptoms. I'm not saying this is your problem though. I
own a 97 JX and have had no problems with it. You may have to be more
discriptive of what your car is doing at the moment it dies.
The last thing that you want to do, is troubleshoot you car via "process of
elimination". Very expensive.
You should try to obtain OBD error codes, free from some parts retailers
like AutoZone.
You should also try this forum if you haven't yet.
