Does the "dimmer" control work? It has been a bad dimmer switch in every
car I have had this problem with.

Have you changed the radio recently? Many aftermarket radios do not have a
connection for the dash dimmer wire & if it is not properly taped off, you
can kill the dash lights that way.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->

Did you change the ones that 'project' down from above, or just the
backlight ones ? Our Odyssey had one burnt out so the gas guage was
always invisible at night.

I have replaced the backlit ones, (small glass twist in type), but they
don't come on. the dimmer switch seems to work-- but the lights had been
going out one at a time,,

I have an aftermarket stereo, that was professionally installed about 5
years ago, so I ruled that out.
my fan doesn't work either,, the ac button turns blue when pushed but the
fan slider switch doesn't turn the fan on.
