96 Sebring 2.5 Automatic

* Recently replaced inner trans. seal, fluid and filter

I have a problem every morning (or when it sits for 10+hours) when I get
the car going for the first time. The car runs fine in 1st gear but then
wont shift into 2nd. I have to rev the engine @ about 3000RPM for about 10
seconds, then shifts harshly. After that the car runs fine. Also, does it
sometimes after making hard stops. Problem started before performing
repair listed above.

Anyone with this problem?
What could be causing this?
