Post subject: 96 Outback Check engine light and type of gas recommended
I have two questions.

Does anyone have a picture or can someone tell me where the check engine light is in the dash - I'm told mine is out and I want to know where it usually is.

And - what are peoples thoughts on the car saying "premium gas recommended." Is it really nessesary?
