Post subject: '95 Passport - ticking engine/no power

I know that this vehicle is a bear to deal with but I am hoping for a
simple solution. The ticking in the engine is coming from the left side
of the engine. Before I spend the money to have someone pull the head
off of the engine, could there be a simpler explination for the
ticking/lack of power than valve problems?

Try running 0w20 synthetic oil you may have to change it every 1000 miles.
It sounds like your rear oil is clogged. Synthetic oil will break it down.
I have seen this in several passports.

Honda Passport - "Power" and "Winter" drive switches - I think I've asked this question before; but what exactly are the POWER DRIVE and WINTER DRIVE switches for in this vehicle. What exactly do they do in terms of transmission operation? Also, in my 1995 Passport, the WINTER DRIVE switch works..

98 Passport check engine light ?? - My son is about to buy a 98 passport. The check engine light is on and the salesman told him that when the oil was changed that they didn't reset the oil light. I don't have any experience with Honda's but this doesn't sound right to me. Any suggestions....

I have had problems w/this truck since i bought it. 2 torque converters,right side of engine rebuilt, new radiator, 2 thermostats, any many other problems, but the main problem i am having is check trans and check engine..

Passport rotors - Can someone tell me or give me a link to instruct me on how to get the front rotors off of a 95 Passport 4x4? I got the auto lock cover and the 2 springs off but cant see anything to remove to get the hub/rotor off. Thanks in advance! David

Passport '96 - My son's "check engine" light went on in his '96 Passport. Told him to check the owner's manual. No service manual. Meanwhile, can anyone troubleshoot for me? Eric
