My 94 Caravan blows only cold air no matter what I set the temp for. I know
I am getting hot water thru the heater core. And, it only seems to blow out
the defroster and floor ports no matter what vents I have selected. I think
there's a problem with one or more of the vacuum powered dashpots inside the
air plenum. How can I get to these? They are all enclosed inside a self
contained A/C - heat box. Is this a common problem ??

Are you getting enough hot water? If the core is restricted you will get
hot water but not enough to heat the air. >> Stay informed about: 94 Caravan heater blows cold |

And if the rad is low, water flow will be minimal. >> Stay informed about: 94 Caravan heater blows cold |

No, water is not the issue. I'm sure the door that allows air to cross the
heater core isn't opening. It's just recirculating cold air in and out. And
I always get air out of the defroster outlet, regardless of what I have
selected on the control panel

Make sure you don't have a vacuum leak - like a split hose. >> Stay informed about: 94 Caravan heater blows cold |

the heater core is a common problem with the 1991 to 1994 caravans
flush the heater core with water in reverse >> Stay informed about: 94 Caravan heater blows cold |

Would this help a problem where it's not getting off a lot of heat except
when going over about 45mph? My 92 Caravan doesn't get all that warm these
days. When I'm going slow or sitting at a stoplight the heat coming out is
noticeably cooler.
Thanks,
Wesley
