I was driving at 40mph and the motor missed a few times and died and all of the dash lights came on. I pulled over, put it in park and the motor will crank but not run. It appears to be getting fuel (the fuel pumps are on, and i tried useing starting fluid), and with a spark tester it is getting a weak spark? Could a bad ignition control module ICM or a bad coil be the cause? I bought the Control module but could not find it located on the distributor or by the coil? It is the module that has one plug in and a flat metal surface for contact.
Recently, I have repalced the EGR, EGR sensor, Throtle Position Sensor, O2 Sensor.
A week prior the exhaust broke off before the cat but it did not turn on the check engine light.
The truck has 2 gas tanks and I switched between them right before the truck died.
Does anyone have an idea to what the problem is?
This is a plow truck and I am desperate to get it up and going!!
the truck is a 1993 ford f-250 4x4 5.8 liter 351 Auto
