I have a 90 Shasta Motorhome on a Ford \E350 Chassis. When the
AC\Vent\etc. fan is turned on, it blows very hot air out from the back
of the big black heater box at the passengers feet, under the dash.
It doesn't matter what temperature is selected, hot or cold. It always
blows hot air, as soon as the engine is warm.
I have looked around, but do not know if this is a vacuum control, or
cable, and don't really know where they come in.
It feels like the air is blowing out the back of the box, rather than
from a vent.
Is the box mounted on incorrectly?
Anyone know anything about these controls?
Thanks, I would appreciate any help. >> Stay informed about: 90 E350 Heater blows hot air |

If it blows out BETWEEN the box and the firewall, it does sound like it's
mounted wrong or a seal is missing or broken.
Other than that, I dont think anyone on here can help you much... other
than advise you to get a book (or CD Service manual) to cover it. Or take
it in for repair.

It sounds like the fan is running backward and blowing air out of the recirc intake.
Reverse the wires on the fan motor and see if this helps. This is common if the fan
motor was replaced with an aftermarket part. >> Stay informed about: 90 E350 Heater blows hot air |

Thanks for the help. It is mounted wrong. I stuffed insulation around
the base, and the problem went away. I'll remove the cover, and try
and see what someone did wrong. >> Stay informed about: 90 E350 Heater blows hot air |
