Post subject: 90 Accord A/T needs help with codes
Archived from groups: alt>autos>honda (more info?)

Hello everyone, I have a 90 Accord with A/T with 207K on the motor. Shortly
after I acquired it, the S light flashes, and when it does, the speedometer
99% of the time will not work. Occasionally it will with the S light
flashing. The transmission will shift through all gears ( all the time ),
Another symtom is that I got very poor gas mileage, like 320 Km on a full
tank. Someone told me hers can get 600Km. Today I retrieve the code. The
check engine light came on but did not flash. The S light flashed: 1 short
and also dimmer ) and 3 longer flashes ( brighter than the first flash ).
Please help to decode.
Also I need help to identify which one is the lockup solenoid and which one
is the shift control solenoid, they look the same. Many thanks and Merry
Christmas to all.

Manuals for several Honda models, including the '91 Accord (which is
nearly identical to the '90), can be found at

90 Accord codes - hey there I have a 1990 accord LX with only 120 km's on it and it will not pass aircare. It reads high Hydrocarbons on idle and that is the only test that they can do on this car cause it is too low to Dyno it so the only way that I can make it pass is..

Anyone need a '90 Accord? - I have a '90 Accord DX, 2 door, 5 speed, red, for sale. It has 220,000 miles on it and the body is dented and rusty. Car needs tires on the back, and a window in the passenger door. Starts and runs fine. Has had regular oil changes and service. <font...

90 Accord EX - I blew a radiator hose today. It wasn't a main hose, but the heat cross over (don't know what you'd call it), but it went from the engine to the firewall. I've repaired the hose, but my car is still over heating. I'm wondering if I blew a pump first,....

1990 Accord LX gets hot - I have a 1990 Accord LX. In the spring of 2004 I had a new radiator put in with new hoses and cap. I installed a new (170 degree) thermostat myself. That summer (or whenever it is warm) the temperature gauge starts to move up when the AC is on or when....

Will 195/70/14's fit a 90 accord lx - they do fit the back but i was wondering about the front.
