« That is a lot of oil (echo...). It really doesn't sound correct that the top-end would be at fault ... why do you think this? Does it blow oily BLUE smoke out the exhaust at start-up? Even if it di.. »
« It's my guess that the rings are bad--if that is the case--it would be very expensive to fix that problem. I suggest that you or someone else that you trust run a compression test on all of the cyli.. »
« PMS,, Like Brian says, using lots of oil would more likely rings or PCV valve. Top end seals leak at idle or startup. Get a compression check. Worn or stuck rings likely would be worn or stuck on.. »

Anyone know where the PCV valve is located in the engine compartment on this car?
« Knowing that it comes from the intake vacuum it's easy to find. It's either plugged into the valve cover on top, or behind the engine (might need to go on side of car and look behind) or it might be.. »
« It is only recent that Hondas even used PCV valves. Most Hondas used a system that made PCV valves unnecessary. In fact, first PCV valve I ever saw on a Honda was a late 1990 model Honda. PMS wrote: »
« Go to , put in your car's info, then click on "breather pipe-oil filter." A not-too-bad drawing will appear. The PCV valve appears on it. "PMS" wrote »

A/C has mind of it's own.It works fine most of the time but occasionally compressor turns off. When it turns off it will usually stay off .sometimes when i stop at store, etc. and come out and start again it will be off and won't comme on.One day i was getting on interstate and noticed that when the..

I'm trying to replace the timing belt in my old 89 accord lxi and the crank bolt wont budge. I tried the impact wrench as well as using the starter to turn it over. before grabbing my biggest breaker bar and turning the bolt weather it wants to move or not I figured I better ask one stupid questi..

« You probably figured out already that you in fact put lock-tite on it last time, but for anyone else that's interested it has a regular right hand thread. The special washers are key. An impact wr.. »
« I was able to get mine off with about a 2ft screwdriver holding the timing tab and a 1/2 breaker bar holding on to my bummer and using my foot to push down on it until it started to turn. even then .. »
