Post subject: 2005 CRV diesel intermittent problem losing revs/throttle???

A few months ago my crv would lose all power and not rev past about 1000 rpm but only for about 30 seconds max. yesterday it happened again but i did not get full rev range until about 10 minutes. any ideas? Its booked in for 2 year service (26000 miles) in a frtnight but mght have to take it in sooner.
