Sorry for the repeated post, but my Laptop Keyboard skips resulting in a lot of typos I have an 05 Escape and noticed that the flapper valve is missing in the fuel filler tube. Not sure there was one there to begin with. Should there be a flapper in the filler tube? I know this sounds like a dumb..

I have a 2005 Escape. The warranty just recently expired. Just under the wire, I gto my rear shocks replaced by Ford for free. The car has 26,000 miles. I'm surprised (and pissed) that the shocks failed so quickly. Also, the wheel bearings are getting noisey or at least I think that it's the wheel..
« Things can fail prematurely, they're all manmade items and thus not perfect. Thats what warranties are for. As for the wheel bearings, get them checked ASAP, before you get many more miles out of .. »

I have a 2005 Escape and a 2005 Explorer. On both cars, the left fog light lens is broken. The manual says to have dealer replace them. Does anyone know if it can be done without bringing it to the dealer. Thanks.
