Hi all. I have a 2004 Honda Civic DX and the engine light is on. Is there a way to reset it? Thanks in advance for any help. Shawn
« Yes, but it requires a diagnostic tool. An OBD II code reader can read and erase diagnostic codes, which will reset the light. However, if the problem is not corrected the light will come back on... »

I own a 2004 Honda Civic Hybrid Standard Transmission with 30,000 miles on it. The clutch has broken and needs to be replaced. Should this have happened so soon? I am an experienced stick-shift driver and I never worn out a clutch. Honda says it is not covered and need $1000 to fix it. Is it..

I recently just noticed a noise coming from my left drivers side. It gives off a sound hard to describe, little rattle, little sound as if something were dragging. I first thought it was my front tire was a little flat but this is not the case or snow build up behind the wheel, but no. I have h..

I've changed the oil on my 2004 Honda Civic and would like to shut off the check engine light. On my 2000 this was possible via the odomoter reset button. Does anyone know how to do it on the 2004?
« I didn't know that the civic uses the check engine light to indicate an oil change is due. »

33 mpg 2004 Civic - I had some spare time to add up mileage logs from last year- 15156 miles on 456 gallons. Summer is about 2 miles better, winter 2 miles lower. Less highway driving in winter and 15% ethanol gasoline. I suspect cold may be a factor too.

my 2004 civic obeys new fuel economy law - I was disappointed when NBC news said only the hybrids met the new 2020 mileage law of 35 mpg. My 2004 regular ciivic statisfies this already according to my records.
