I've been drivivg trucks for years on the job but never owned one. I've just purchased a 2003 Ram 1500 4x4 & LOVE IT. It's a pleasure to drive! One Problem though. Check Engine Light comes on after getting gas. Still has some factory warrenty left but I'm getting tired of taking it back to the dea..

Per the manual, I removed the: webbing between lens and truck frame; three bolts holding lens assembly to body. The assemble would not come out freely. I was worried about "forcing" the unit, fearing I might damage it. I did manage to replace the right (passenger side) bulb by reaching behind..
« Yes, once all the fasteners are removed, it still takes a little extra effort to remove the housing assembly. A note of caution however! If you are using higher wattage bulbs than the original 90.. »

I have a 2003 Ram 1500 lately I have had problems with the heating, with the control set at windscreen and cab I am getting hot air coming through the middle vents and cold on the outside vents. The temperature also goes up and down. Thoughts please
« Merry Christmas, yar. Some Dodge trucks have had issues with blend, mode and recirc doors. Sounds like your's might be the mode door or actuator. FMB (North Mexico) »

Does anyone make a larger fuel tank for the 2003 Ram 1500 4X4? Just would like to have more range when I tow my motorcycles. Many thanks in advance!! Chuck
« You can order the 34 gallon tank for the 2002 and up dodge Ram 1500 through the dealer (is a factory option). I have also seen some 3rd party add-on fuel tank expanders that can add 10 to 20 gall.. »

2003 Ram 1500 QC 4x4. I bought the truck new in May of '03, and had to take it in under warranty in January of '05 to get the mode door replaced at 10K miles. The door broke and would only blow out the floor vents, nothing for defrost. I just got the truck back from the dealer this evening ..
