2003 Dodge Grand Caravan. While driving, head and dash lights, once in a while, start flickering. Stops after operating headlight swith or signal light stalk. Coincidence or is one of them at fault. It is so intermittent that I don't think it's a loose connection. Seems more like dirty contacts ..
« That could be a few of things causing that. A loose or dirty connection at the battery, a bad battery or a faulty headlamp switch/connector. Glenn »
« Evening Glen The light flickering is interesting. I bought a used 03 grand about 6 months ago and noticed every once and a while that all the lights would flicker just slightly. I mentioned it to .. »

« The headlight flickering on my 2001 GC would happen when driving down the road with the RPMs above idle, but it was most pronounced at idle. I was told it was the BCM at ripoff (in hindsight) Gol.. »

Recently my van has no power locks, interior lights, HVAC controls, rear wiper.. etc. Seems to be BCM related to me. I looked at the power harness of the BCM and found all B+ voltages to be there. But I noticed according to the schematics (I have a haynes manual) that it sends an "ignition outp..
« Coupla comments: (1) I don't have the factory schematics of your van, but did you check (according to *factory* schematics - not fuse panel labels or aftermarket schematics, both of which are ofte.. »
« Forget about the manuals right now and don't start unplugging things that will cause more problems. The first thing to do would be check the BCM for fault codes. A code reader will not do this, you.. »
« Yep... I disconnected the battery for a few minutes and while it was disconnected I shorted the pos and neg leads to discharge any decoupling caps that may be holding a charge in the BCM (or elsewhe.. »
« Why would you take it someplace "before " you take it to the dealer? Why would you trust anybody BUT the dealer to touch it? Kevin »

Hi When my Van was on the lift (50000 miles, in Canada lots of salt on the road), the mechanic noticed that the two metal tubes that carry the antifreeze coolant to the back heater is starting to rust , especially were the are there is a little bracket welded to hold the two tubes together. I ..
« Hello: have it done now, i had a 97' GV and had to have the same thing done which was causing me to lose coolant. »
« Is it the coolant lines or the refrigerant lines? Neither is particularly difficult, but the hose patch would not be an option with the refrigerant lines. On Jan 7, 9:36am, "cosza" wrote: »

Hello all, I think by mistake I have overfilled my DODGE 2003 GRAND CARAVAN SE with 1 to 1.5 quarts of oil.. It is like 1 inch over the max level on the gauge. I have not driven the van too much around. Should I try to remove 1 quart? or is it fine to wait for the next oil change.. please let me..
