Post subject: 2003 Chevrolet 2500HD gas guage is going all the way around.

Over the Christmas break we were traveling and after driving 150 miles I noticed the gas hand had not moved on my truck. So after stopping and filling up again it went past the full mark and amost 3/4 the way back around. The hand does not jump around. It seems as if it is reading fuel level just upside down. Any ideas on what could be the problem?
