i am considering getting an extended warranty for my 325i that expires in september 2006. wondering if anybody here has ideas on what warranty is appropriate (coverage benefits and deductible) and value for money. thanks!
« I wouldn't bother »

I recently bought a 2003 BMW 325i, but it didn't come with an owners manual. Does anyone have an electronic or PDF version of it that they could email me? I would really appreciate it!
« I phoned BMW and told them the same thing you just said.. They sent me one for free in the mail. »
« Join the owner's circle and you can get the manual there as well. R / John »

Hello. I am going to buy my first BMW. I am going to buy a used 2003 model 325 next month. I am considering two sedan models: 325i or 325xi. All things being equal, the only differnece that I am aware of is the all-wheel-drive of the xi vs the rear-wheel-drive of the i. I will retain my 1993 Toy..
« If you live somewhere it snows a lot - buy the xi. It will be slower and thirstier than the i, but will behave a lot better in bad weather. The xi may be more expensive to maintain, especially the .. »
« They drive almost identically. The xi is a little slower, and you won't have the sport suspension. I recommend getting a set of summer tires (on rims similar to the 325i sport suspension 8x17 whe.. »
« I own a 2001 325 xi touring and I can tell you it isn't a sportscar at all. The engine is rather small and you need to rev it up in order to accelerate properly. Behaviour on snow is very good. The .. »

So I had my rotors and pads changed about a year ago and everything seemed good. I dont beat on the car so I dont think there is a issue with me bending the rotors since they were changed or anything like that. So I dont think its related to the brakes. However when Im going over 35 and I just ..
« Your rotors are bent. Now, your question here is HOW they got bent. It could be because you have some suspension problems. Do you have the original control arm bushings in there? It could also be .. »
« Thanks for the advice. I think your 100% right. I didnt think they were bent because last time they were I could feel a vibration in the pedal. I cant this time. What about the wheel shaking or .. »
« Could be, there is all kinds of stuff in the steering and suspension that can fail, though. Wait a minute... you have been driving with bad control arm bushings, you KNEW they were bad, and now you .. »
« No no. I see how you misunderstood that. I dont know that any thing is wrong for sure. I meant to say .... I know a mechanic that is honest that works on BMW's. Say I had to have these bushings r.. »
