I just bought EX V6 coupe. Car is great but as many of you mentioned
it has a lot of annoying squeaks. I can reproduce them only when car
stays for several hours on the sun. So my question is has anybody
fixed his car? I am going to bring my car to the dealer and asking for
any suggestions that may help me.

Yevgen.

Sad to say...Honda quality is no more, accountants run the company now. Be
good to yourself and buy a Toyota next time.

Are you saying that those people in charge of Toyota don't care about
profits? Let's face the facts--all companies have "profit" as their number
one priority.

yes, but toyota hasn't compromised quality for the sake of profits like
honda did. toyota still has the highest profit margin in the industry, that
is including the highest quality.

I've got two squeaks in my EX V6 MT, one on the right side of the dash
somewhere, only when the sun is on it, and one at the base of the left
C-pillar, which is there all the time, whenever I hit a bump. Both drive me
crazy. The car is in the shop right now (with 800 miles on it) while they
look for the squeaks and fix the transmission, which pops out of first gear
while decelerating.

*sigh*

Just the squeaks do not decide the quality!
Compare the Accord interior to the Camry interior. Camry looks like a taxi
cab. Honda has a better looking interior than any other car in its
class!(for me alteast).
It is just the first year on this new model. It will get better as time
goes. Did you demonstrated the squeaks to the dealership?
I never had any problems on my Accord EX 2003.

My 03 EX has a constant squeak from the center console. I can reproduce
the noise, even parked, just but pressing back and forth on it. First
dealer trip did not result in a fix.

Symptom: Jiggling, squeaking, high-pitched sound that occurs when th
vehicle is in motion. Kind of like rubber on steel or plastic or som
other squeaky material.

Cause: It took me 4 months to figure out this flaw in an otherwise nic
car (the other was warping of front brake discs--both shortcomings ar
minor). If this is what you're hearing, check the console at the gea
selector. Specifically, check where the console comes into contact wit
the plastic P-R-N-D piece of plastic. Press and move the 1" silver edg
(left or right) a few times and you should be able to replicate thi
noise. Flexing of the vehicle's frame produces this noise when th
silver console and P-R-N-D piece of plastic rub against each other.

Treatment: Add one drop of lubricant where the console and P-R-N-
piece of plastic come in contact. That is all. Just don't use too muc
lubricant or you may see gook build-up in several weeks. I used dr
bicycle lubricant

By the way, we shouldn't let manufacturers get off the hook that easily
I am very happy with my Accord EX V-6 but a constant mouse squeak on
100 mile commute is hard to ignore. The same applies with the effect
of warped rotors everytime I step on my brakes.

They must know about product flaws (and customer displeasure with thos
annoyances) so they can make a better product. But keeping things i
perspective, Toyotas and Hondas (and their subs) are still some of th
best built vehicles. I wonder if American quality control will eve
meet Japanese standards? Most of the new Accords ARE being built here
