Post subject: 2002 caravan headlight trouble

i have a 2002 grand caravan with headlight problems that have just
started. when i turn on the
key, only the left daytime running light comes on. when i turn on the
headlights, the left
headlight goes out and the right headlight comes on. when i turn on the
bright lights, the right one goes out and the left one comes back on.
any suggestions?

New bulbs?

Then you'll have to start backtracking the headlight harness, until you find the
crossed wires (or whatever). Clean the bulb power sockets with a small wire
brush first.

I have the exact same problem with my 2001 GC. But no solutions so far. Have had it into dealer and other reliable mechanics about 5 times now. Dealer tried replacing light switch and front end module to no avail. They next want to try replacing the main computer, but it's a shot in the dark.

I do a fair amount of long distance driving. Oddly, three times now, I've noticed that both headlights went on after I've driving a few hundred miles, and twice when I turned on the rear wiper.

If you've solved your problem, I'd love to hear how.
