The transmission fluid/filter has NEVER been changed in this eC. My dad owned it since new and when he passed it was given to me, seems he never had any trans. service done on it. The car has 92,000 miles.
I called 2 dodge dealers, one tells me " if the transmission isn't giving you any problems and the fluid doesn't appear gritty or smell burnt to LEAVE IT ALONE, as by changing it I may actually cause problems"
The second dealer tells me to "go ahead and change the fluid and everything SHOULD be okay".
Who do I listen to????
Anyone with similar experience tell me what you did and then if anything happened? or suggestions as to which to do.
