2002 Kia Rio Speedometer jumps

My 2002 Kia Rio's speedometer jumps suddenly from the correct speed up to
10-15 mph higher (and occasionally maybe a little lower). What should I
look at?

Does it jump once or jump-fall-jump-fall-jump-etc?
