Just bought an 02 Lancer. The a/c works great, can not turn the know to
heat it is stuck and the a/c light will not turn off even if you hit the
switch. Anyone have any ideas on where to start with the control knob??

Found the problem. The plastic piece that connects to the a/c heater
control under the dash was designed wrong. It hangs up and when you try
and turn the know it just stays there. If you put to much pressure on it
you break the unit and have to replace it. If you go to mistu and get the
new plastic piece it is only about $15.00 and a couple of minutes to
replace. Fixes the problem!!!
