Post subject: 2002 Hyundai Accent instument panel lights Get Alert

This one is a bit strange. Hyundai dealer has no ideas.

The instrument panel lights stopped working. The fader works, the two bulbs in the panel work (lighting up the milage indicator) and all other indicator and signal bulbs work.

Just the speedometor and tach display are dark. Now, get this. The two bulbs for this area are absent. The places for the bulbs are covered over; they were never installed.

There are no blown fuses, and all tail and park lights work.

Any ideas? I'm stumped.
